3 out of 5 CPAs in public accounting have chosen smaller firms for their career—there must be a reason.

VARIETY OF EXPERIENCE

We’re a full service firm, and your assignments will reflect that. With us, you’re not assigned to the audit, tax or consulting department. You’ll be exposed to all of our services, and a wide variety of clients. Then, you can choose for yourself which direction you would like to follow in your career.

EARLY RESPONSIBILITY

Within your first six months with us, you’ll be working on audit engagements and preparing tax returns. You may have the opportunity to work on a forecast or projection project, or help a small business select and install a software package. Within your first year, you’ll take some small compilation or review engagement from start to finish—drafting the financial statements, writing footnotes, and working directly with the business owners. During your second year, you can expect to take over as in—charge on small audits. We expect a lot. What we want is a willingness to work, and to learn. We’ll teach you how to apply the knowledge you have gained in school.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

We’re very serious about being the best firm we can be, and providing excellent services to our clients. We’re also a very relaxed, informal firm. The two are not inconsistent. With us, a partner is a person down the hall that you work closely with, and call by his or her first name. We believe if you dread going to work in the morning, you’re in the wrong business. Your work should be interesting, challenging, and fun. Yes, public accounting can be fun if you’re in the right atmosphere.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

You don’t get lost in the crowd with us. We want to help you be successful. If you succeed, we all win—you, our clients, and the firm. Through training, engagement experience, supervision, and client contact, you can develop quickly with us. We want people that are intelligent, good communicators, achievement oriented, and ambitious. We look for personal skills, as well as technical ability. Knowledge is important, but your ability to interact with clients and your peers is just as important, particularly in a smaller CPA firm. We don’t hide our people. You’ll have a lot of client contact from your first day with us.

Our people make a difference to our clients because they are more than just accountants, auditors, or tax return preparers. They are trusted business advisors.

We want YOU to make a difference—to the FIRM and to our CLIENTS!
